A Walking Tour for Our E-Pals Across the Pond
Fourth grade students in Mrs. Zerafa’s class have been communicating via email with “e-pals” from Willington, England. Ms. O’Brien, technology specialist, established this activity in November with the children writing letters to one another. The third and fourth graders from England then sent pictures of points of interest in their community.
Washington Irving’s fourth grade students took a walking tour of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow and photographed historic landmarks and places of interest. In the computer lab, the children researched and recorded the information to be “pod casted” to our friends across the pond. We hope they (and you) will enjoy our final product.

Hi everyone. My name is Rachelle Gebler and my son is in 2nd grade at Morse. I really wanted to listen to your walking tour after hearing about it in the Journal News, but for some reason there was no audio. Hopefully you’ll be able to fix that very soon and I’ll be able to hear your wonderful presentation. Just thought you should know. : )

Mrs Zeiafa and her 4th grade class at Morse should be extremely pleased with the way their video presentation on Tarrytown turned out.
My hat is off to Mrs Zeiafa for her guidance resulting in a beautifully presented video which much older and more mature student would have been hard pressed to accomplish.
Im sure your Epals in Willington will also find it fascinating.
You all should be extremely pleased . Thanks you all made my day.

Excellent!
The students of Mrs. Zerafa’s class should be very proud of their work.
This is just the vehicle students need to expaned their skills of communication.
Projects like these make learning fun.
Special thanks to Mrs. Zerta and Ms. O’Brien for their guidance.
